Evidence for the detectability of very Deceitful Tells
Although what I said is just an assumption but I do have little evidence that such tell reading may be
possible. I have observed that my own ability to find tells has improved conceivably during periods
when I have increased my attention on this field of play poker.
One more interesting is the
possible implication thing which I saw once on television. It featured
unexplained facts, unsolved mysteries, and other peculiarities. I do not
remember much about
poker the details, but featured in that episode was an
elderly man from another country. He had an act which people pointed as
a demonstration of a sort of psychic facts. In his act, he left the
theater, then had someone known to have no connection with him hide a
small object, maybe a coin or a paper clip, with the audience member
chosen by the hider. On his turn, the player walked through the
audience, holding the arm of the hider. He noticed the audience, looking here and there, halting
suddenly, and then moving on. He stopped and pointed the person whom the object have been
hidden. He found the objects by some anonymous means.

This could obviously be unremarkable as it can only be a magician's trick. There
are many ways a magicians can arrange a habit of this kind. What made it remarkable was that it was
witnessed and evaluated by James Randi. Randi or "The Amazing Randi" is famous as a magician
turned most excellent debunker of claims of psychic abilities.
Along with other achievements, he
depicted famed "psychic" Uri Geller who, meanwhile had created a stir with feats like "psychic" spoon
bending. Randi even achieved Mac Arthur foundation grant to continue his debunking work. In this
case he observed each and every thing in detail and was, I believe privy to the performer's activities
prior to the act, outside the theater and so on.
What was his evaluation of his
performers act? Undoubtedly, he confirmed that it involved psychic
occurrence. The least expected was his assertion that it also was not a
poker trick
Randi
claimed that the performer had practiced reading people's body sign to such a extent that he had
become able to use the signs of the hider and audience members to zero in on the member with the
hidden substance.

If Randi was right then we have
something interested to all the poker players. Can it be possible to
learn poker games to detect remarkably subtle tells in our rivals? I doubt that it
is possible to detect tells more effectively than the great majority of
poker players. But at the same time I am less sure that the difference
could be possible to make very good improvement in hourly rate. Making
thrice the number of essential tells you identify particularly if you
are already skilled in this field perhaps asking too much. I don't
know what the limits of tell detectability are. But I know that I
haven't found any players who clearly read tells better than many other
excellent level poker
player
.

Finally, a serious player must
remember that poker is a complicated game. Some players can not
improve essentially in some fields of play. Hence while there may be available possibilities in tell play,
you should consider the similarity or the greater value of many other skills. You will be in a position to
expand the field in which improvement will bring you the maximum profits.
Afterthought: After writing this essay, while reading couple of book of stories from the life of the late physicist Richard Feynman, I got a description of what looks like to be nearly the same performer's routine mentioned above. Feynman's father did some survey to learn the secret of the act. It did involve reading the deceitful signs of the hider. The main thing is that you do not require more practice to learn how to do this. You only need to do is to know what kind of signs you need to look upon. This is reliable with what I have experienced in reading poker hands tells. They can be difficult to hide but once you notice one it becomes apparently clear, and is easy to see over a long period of time.
